Unhappy 2 dents in my new G35c already!

Well it was bound to happen eventually. Two weeks after receiving my brand new coupe, I have two fairly large dents side by side on the rear passenger side area (a bit above and before the rear wheel well). In each dent is a pretty large scratch (from the door that hit my car TWICE) and around each dent are swirl marks (from where the moron rubbed the scratch, and dirt, thinking it would help).

So here is my question. I can't tell if the scratch is from my car missing paint or from paint that came off their car, hopefully the latter. I was wondering who has used Carsmatics before for removing dents? I think they could probably get the dents out (they're right below the horizontal crease thank God) for under $100. Then I could get some fine grit sand paper and wetsand & buff the scratches out (IF they're paint from the culprit's car). What do you guys think?

Matt

PS-If it wasn't for the Bucs win in the Super Bowl, I would of had a Super Shi**y day.

I gotta say, on a brand new car, I'd bring it to a body shop. If your car was a few years old, sure, go ahead and try to fix it yourself, if you screw it up, you won't be too mad.

But for something new, spend the cash. Once your car has visible damage, it doesn't seem like a new car anymore.

Well I just got back from Carsmatics (they specialize in minor accident damage) and they quoted me $150 to remove the two dents and buff out the scratches, which they say are only surface scratches. This is totally a paintless procedure & they say you'll never be able to tell. I guess that's a decent price, but damn I hate spending money on the car already.

I'd say to take the hit in the wallet and get it professionally done. You have to figure that you only want to fix these scratches once, so you better do it the right way first. Especially on a brand new car, you dont want to have to live with an improperly repaired scratch for the rest of the car's life, do you?
