The Zaino Z-16 tire Gloss is the best I have used. It leaves a satin like finish and lasts about 2 weeks. I don't like the shiny wet look either, that is why I went with the Z-16.
How about a good setup that is easy to apply with lowered cars? I was using the Eagle One applicator crescents but now i cant get the top of the tire since there isnt much room in my wheel well. Any tips?
Meguair's Gel w/ the rubbermaid tire coating applicator!

Stoner's... I use their trim shine, invisible glass, and tire shine. They make great products for enthusiasts. Their tire shine lasts a long time too. Water proof, UV protection, and prevents discoloring. Best thing, you don't need an applicator. I always get comments about my tires, I just tell them that the last time I put on any shine was a month ago

It really does smell like grapes haha
I bought a brush from Autozone to wash my tires/wheels (only on those surfaces, I wouldn't dare to use that brush on my paint) during every car wash. I just scrub down the tires at the end of my car wash with whatever soap/water is left and it leaves them looking nice and clean. If I want to get them shined up then I use that Meguiars Endurance Gel with some latex gloves like someone said above because that crap get's everywhere (especially after you use the applicator a few times).
The Meguiars one is nice because it's not obnoxiously shiny but good enough to look sleek. And as per the instructions, if you want to shine them up a little more, apply another coat
It makes the whole process so much easier and you get excellent coverage too.
I used to do the whole latex exam gloves, foam applicator nonsense too.
I bought that thing at Target but you can buy it on Amazon too.
