Door Panels look weird Anyone else?
When the light hits them, it looks like white pokadots everywere on the black, and if you move the door, the light angle changes, and they dissapear and show up in other areas... what gives?
My guess is that you have something stuck/dried in the dimpled pattern. It's reflecting at certain angles and looks bright or shiny.
You need to take a microfiber towel or a cotton towel and wash the door panels good. Use the same type of towel to rinse them with clean water.
Did you spray something on the door panels? If so, don't do it again. The only way to apply any type of liquid protectant or cleaner is to spray a little on a cotton applicator and let it soak in for a couple seconds then rub it on the door panels. If you spray the panels directly, they'll get a splotchy appearance.

Maybe it's a buildup of something such as dust and sand, seeing as you live in Arizona?
Do you roll through like desert roads with your windows down kicking up a storm of sand or have you had your doors open when there were some strong winds, thereby shoving dust and sand particles into your car.
Pics would help though.

I have seen the dot pattern in my doors and the doors of a few other Zs, it's not on the surface, it's something else. It is most obvious in bright sunlight with the doors open near the door latch and above the speakers. I think it has something to do with the mold for the door but I don't really know. Hard to describe.

I will get pics as soon as I can, I need to do it in direct sunlight. I think its from the armor all I put on it a few months ago, but since then I scrubbed it with a light mix of palmolive and warm water on a wet towel, and it still wont go away.
I even got a lil soapy water in my door switches, I hope it didnt mess anything up......

A regular towel won't really get stuff out of the bottom of the dimples. You need a fine, soft brush than can work it's way into the grooves and dimples and get the old armor all out. It might be possible to use a microfiber towel if it has a thick nap to it, if it's too soft or fine, again it won't get down into the dimples to clean them out.
You know, I've seen dots for the longest time but never really got close enough to investigate them. They are probably not the same dots the OP wrote about, mine are not white.
Turns out on my doors, the octagon dots are not all level, in the first pic you can see see the odd pattern, in the second you can see how some of the octagons are taller than others.
It's just odd.

I agree that it's very funny material. I already managed to make a big scratch/rip it open on the passenger door when I placed a small crate in front of the passenger seat. While closing the door, it fell a little sideways so I smacked the door right into it. There is some semisoft white material underneath it.
I was thinking as well to get the doors cover in leather or something as my dad works with leather for a living, covering furniture/car seats etc. But it might me too much leather inside.
