Haha, thought we could all have a bit of fun with this thread, we sure did in NZ. Sad thing is there are more, but you got to start somewhere. lol
You know you've got a servere case of Obsessive Compulsive Z Cleaning Disorder when;
1) When you manage to get your Zed's brushed aluminium handles to show a slight reflection.
2) You use cleaner wax inside the rims to get rid of blobs of tar.
3) When there are no left over sticker marks around your registration & other stickers in the front window.
4) When the inside of the exhaust pipes are nearly as shiny as the outside.
5) When you've washed your Zed 3 days out of the last 4 days.
6) Even inside the mud guards are clean and shiny.
7) When you vacuum, yes vacuum the engine bay.
8) When you vacuum where the spare tyre is stored.
9) When you wake up on Saturday morning excited like a young child with the prospect of being able to wax your car....finaly after waiting 5 long days.
10) When you dont care that the neighbours are looking at you all weird, because your cleaning your car......AGAIN!!
11) When you get up at first light to wash the car while the paint is still cold.
12) When you silicon the tread of your tires.
13) When you start threads about obsessive cleaning disorders.
14) When you actually contribute to threads about obsessive cleaning disorders.
15) When you wake up at 2am dreaming your waxing your car, & feel the need to post about it.
16) Parking 350Z appropriately so you can get at all the muck underneath that no one else gives a toss about.
18) When you chrome polish the brushed aluminum pedals, especially the the go pedal!!
19. When you use a soft tooth brush to get at the awkward bits around the engine bay.
20. When you use plastic protectant on all the plastic you can reach underneath the bonnet.
21. When you use cleaner wax before you wax the inside of the bonnet,
22. When you vacuum inside the storage compartments, and glove box (well almost glove box, centre box, hehe).
23. When you've organised 2 Meguiars Zed care nights in one year and you don't work for Meguiars.
24. When you Rainx or Prestone the exterior glass, even the wingmirrors just coz the water looks like jelly running down the windscreen when it rains.
25. Use leather cleaner and conditioner on not only the seats, but the handbrake, gearstick, and steering wheel (on the back of the leather facing away from you, where the sun does the most damage).
26. When you always make sure your zed is clean before it goes into the dealer for servicing.

So what nuts things do you guys & girls do to keep your Zed looking stunning????

28. When you buy a carpet cleaner.... but not for your house, for your car

yes those are both things that my dad does and i have also inherited.....

and i remember there was one about cleaning the leather on the seats, e-brake etc. well i don't know about a z but in a bmw the dash, doors and all paneling is like this leather or maybe fake leather material..... my dad conditions every square inch of that as well.

oh and the worst thing my dad does.... he actually cleans the side of the tire that faces in toward the car.... yes the side you only see if the tire is flat and you are taking it off.... it must be clean. oh and when i say he cleans that side, i mean he makes me ahahaa

31. When you remove the licence plates to clean & wax behind the plate area.
32. When you take out the spare tyre out of it's compartment and clean and wax.
33. Cleaning and shining the inside of the wheel arches. Man that looks cool with shiny wheel arches when the tyres have that mega shiny look going on.
34. When you've cleaned other club members zed's because you can cope with seeing such a sad looking zed.
37. When polishing the inside of the exhaust pipes to keep them new looking is a weekly occurance, not just occassionally.

 

13) When your car spins uncontrollably and slams into a telephone pole.

 

38. When you insist cleaning and waxing the car yourself, even when you can afford to pay someone to do it for you!

 

39. When you carry a bottle of "New Car Scent" for each and every time you fart in your Z.

 

I'd rather spend more time driving my Z than cleaning it.

highside107, one of our guys in club in NZ does, that, I too thought it was hilarious and not very clever.

Yip, I carry detailer in the Zed, just in case. lol Cruising off to a major event, I'll carry all sorts of cleaning gear to make sure the Zed looks really hot.

 

Oh my god....I have Z cleaning OCD....only in the early stages but too many hits

 

41. You spend $500 on waxes, soap, creams, gels, and an orbital buffer and run though each combination of $30 a bottle waxes, glazes, and finishing sprays across three months of hard work ... only to find out that your SUV which you hose down and drag a wet cloth across four times a year shines better than your Super Black Z.

I'll add a few

41. When you go undernetaht the car to clean the underboyd, suspension parts, etc. even though no one even notices.

42. You get annoyed with areas you can't reach under the hood and try to come up with some sort of rag on a stick to reach into hard to clean areas.

 

With a name like plumpzz, you must be fartin' in your car.

Also, +1 on the microfiber towel and detail spray in the cargo net at all times!

Edit: Yea i too cary around a bottle of NXT Detail Spray and NXT Window Cleaner behind my driver's seat compartment incase my car looks crappy or my windows are dirty... i rarely use the normal window washer stuff since after it washes your windows it goes all over your drivers side window and all over your roof

 

I fart in my car all the time. Its not like it's a Bentley or something...
