Default Had these goodies for a Week Now I get to use them. **UPDATED**

Full pinnacle xmt intermediate swirl remover kit and the porter cable 7424 all from autogeek.net.

Will post pics before and after when Im done later today.

Before:

After:

Overall the porter cable is a sweet tool makes everything easy. The pinnacle products Im not so impressed with. Although there are considerable less swirl marks on the car they are still there, thats not good enough for me when I just dropped nearly $300 on this setup.

I did the hood, roof, and trunk twice with the XMT #3 intermediate swirl remover, the rest of the car once.
Next was the pinnacle XMT #1 fine swirl remover once for the entire car.
Third was the Pinnacle XMT carnuba wax
Finally I put on the meguiars NXT Tech Wax.

What are your recommendations for getting all the swirls out? Should I try the zaino swirl remover? Should I have done more coats of the xmt #3? I really took my time with all of this I have about 12 hours into it this weekend.

meguiar's #80 for light swirls,
#83 for more aggressive cleaning / swirl / scratch removing. Don't worry #83 is still pretty safe on our paint.

I've seen the stuff in action and it works well with a porter cable like yours.

my g was way worse then your z,the first time i didnt get any swirls out.i used xmt#2 then i went to xmt#3 and it got better.i had to slow down the movement and speed to 5 and it got a little better.i just got a lc yellow pad which is more aggressive and ill be doing it very slowly with xmt#2 and see what happens.sometime,s you just need multiple passes and or a more aggressive pad.

Thats what I used on my girls G35 and the paint is 1000x better although it is a black car and it will always be a job. The Paint on both of them isn't as soft as I thought it was. You will need a yellow cutting pad with the #83.

The PC with the right pads and compound will make a dramatic difference reducing swirls and oxidation if needed.

Try a bottle of Optimum Hyper-Compound followed by Optimum Compound or Polish. It doesn't dust out and has a long working time. I've used Megs, Poorboys, and 3M polishes. Optimum's stuff is much easier to use.

well the pinnacle xmt products didnt cut it so i went with menzerna.started with power gloss with a yellow lc pad, then to intensive polish with a orange pad and finally to fp11 with a white pad.
