First Impression...
I hadn't been able to use the CG until today because the weather has been so crappy. I park in a garage at work and went down to put on a little Zaino Z-6 as I do on most days. I noticed a few spider lines on my hood and went to a product that has worked quite well for me (Glare Professional Auto Polish), which has an ingredient named GLASSPLEXIN™ in it which contains a silicate ion which has a negative charge.
This time, however, it wasn't cutting it, even in the bad lighting of the garage, I could still see the lines. Then it occured to me I had the CG quick and a spray bottle of water in the back of the car.
I sprayed the CG on as directed only to the small area where the scratches were. I can't say that they disappeared, but what was remarkable was that I could see exactly where the edge of the application area was. I thought my car was as deep in color as ever, but I was wrong.
Imagine a mahogany table with a VERY light layer of dust. Now imagine taking a cloth and wiping half the table. The edge between the wiped area and the un-wiped area is what I saw on my hood.
The area where I applied the CG was..well...the way brickyard looks in a less-than-well lit garage. The area that I didn't apply the CG looked, well, like it had a very light layer of dust. I wiped the edge thinking it would disappear, but it didn't.
Well...seeing that, I immediately applied the CG to the entire car. The hood evened out perfectly...no more edge. I can't say what it looks like in the sunlight (I don't think we are going to have a sunny day here until later in the week), but I definitely liked what I saw in the garage.
BTW..this is coming from a guy who is extremely **** when it comes to car appearance. I like what I see so far.
Thanks for the opportunity to use it. I'm sure I'll be ordering a refill!
Oh, if there's any way I can get notice of when any professional shop in the Washington DC area gets the complete CG system, it would be greatly appreciated. I want the whole system applied as soon as I can.
Y'all have a good one!
