Default Need swirl mark remover? Two words: Zaino and WOW!

I had mad swirl marks on half my car from a botched attempt with a rubbing compound. Guys from Houston can vouch for that. I tried applying the 3M swirl mark remover by hand and saw no results. My Zaino guy told me to try again using an electric buffer then apply the Zaino. Three coats and the swrils are almost gone.

It's a bit of work to apply but in the end well worth it.

Oh and if you attempt to use the 3M swirl mark remover get the buffer.

The Zaino Z-5 is actually filling in the swirls.

Yes, but I also started with the 3M and that is supposed to help. I can't express how amazing it looks. I had given in and expected to live with the swirls.

If you just got or are expecting your car. DON'T DO ANYTHING TO IT TILL YOU GET THE PROPER PRODUCTS. Would have been much easier to just start from scratch with the Zaino.

what kind of buffer are you using? I'm thinking of getting one but don't know much about them.

I went to Target and bought a random orbit polisher by black and decker. It was about 30 bucks. It's nice and small. Pretty easy to handle.

Default Orbital Buffer

I had purchased a McGuires package that came with everything, including a rolling cart, product and an orbital buffer. The main reason I purchased the package is because the buffer is actually a porter cable, and the one they recomend. I have also seen the porter cable being sold by ALOT of detail places on the internet . It is more of a professional buffer, and is about $200. I think my Mcguires package was $230 or so. - Course now is use Zaino.

- Just got done washing, and drying with microfiber towels, and a 135psi air compressor, going to put on 3 coats of zaino today!!!

even with zfx, you may want to give it atleast 24 hours to let it fully cure.... not sure if 3 coats in a single day is too wise.

With the ZFX additive, there is 0 curing time. You can put up to 3 coats in a single day.

I applied the coats over a couple of days but my understanding, like Kevin stated, the accelerator would reduce wait time. First coat was a little tough to get of but after that they come off pretty easy.
