Default california wiper blade

does anyone use the california wiper blade to dry their Z?
or would anyone know if it would scratch the paint?

for those of you who dont know what a california wiper blade is, its a squeegee for your car before toweling it dry. using it would make drying the car so much easier cause the Z has nice smooth lines to work with.

I have one and I use it on my Z all the time. It is made of medical grade silicon and has a T-shaped edge. I have never seen any scratches from it. It seems to just zip right over the car. Of course 20 layers of Zaino will do that ya know.

Costco carries them for way less than Wal-Mart. I like using it. Lots less to towel.

I use it to get most of the water out. Then I break out the leaf blower for finishing touches.

I've basically taken my hubby's away from him. It really helps out when drying off my baby. Now I need to get a few shammys for those final details. We don't have a leaf blower. (That's a GREAT idea, BTW.)

i agree... works great. i don't know why people are so afraid of using it. I've never had scratches due to it. Its used to get most of the water off. As people mentioned.. always follow up with a chamois or what i prefer to use.... BIG BLUE around the nooks and crannies

I'm afraid to use my leaf blower, keep thinking it will spit something at it, but probably just paranoid.

btw, I used to listen to anything box, just been a long long time, didn't even know they were still around!

I've just wash my car today and dried it with the blade. Man with the Z's angular body, it was super fast. The hood was done with 3 swipes (sides and middle) Couldn't do the to water channels, so how to use towel. but man, this was the easiest car to dry with the blade. (had trouble with the rear window cause the wiperblade couldn't be lifted up)

Only thing is ALOT of water gets into the joints (car doors, under the hood, top of the hatch on the inside. That was a pain to get dry.

As long as it's not a gas powered blower, you are fine. I have an electric and the intake has a pretty solid filter to capture anthing harmful.

Yeah, I need to update my site. It's prehistoric. doesn't have any of their new info. They're website (anythingbox.com) was slashdotted this weekend because they released a free album via mp3. It killed their server, but I think the album is back up for download.

Default LEAF BLOWER

if you are using ANY kind of leaf blower on your Z, you are sand-blasting your paintjob!!!! DUH!!

DO NOT USE any kind of blower that does not have a VERY good filtering system!!

You will regret using a leaf-blower of any kind...

i do use Cal water blade---no scratches on my Balck Track!!

Default California Water Blade

I use one - found it at Target. Similar exerience, on a just washed car, it glides over the surface and the water comes flying off. Then you can finish drying using one Big Blue microfiber towel.
