What I had to deal with this weekend

I detailed a GS400 this weekend. It was dropped on 18's and had intake, exhaust, window tint, momo shift ****, smoked rear tails, and navigation. However, it was in the worst condition I've ever had to work with. I am completely honest when I say that the '92 Civic on my site is in better condition. The inerior wasn't a problem, but the paint was AWFUL. It took me all Saturday to grind out and mask the millions of swirls/scratches. Before I began, the paint, supposed to be black, was gray with marring. (see the before and after pic) It amazes me how little people care for their car's condition. It turns out that all this damage was caused by taking the vehicle to a "drive thru detailing center" down the street. You know, the type with the machine and the guys with shop rags and windex? It was pretty obvious that the car had never even been waxed, so the paint had lived naked it's whole life. 14+ hrs. work, paint alone.
Thus, I commend you all for seeking to care to for your cars by learning the art of detailing. Keep it up!
