Default questions about claying

just found out about clay bars. haven't used a claybar on my Z yet. is there a difference among claybars?? there's one at my local auto parts store for about $15 with the spray. I want to clay my Z and my maxima too. Do I need two claybars or just one?? Also, i already applied blackfire to my Z.. is it still ok to clay it or do i have to polish it to remove BF first?? what do you guys recommend when it comes to claying??

A clay bar can do about 4 average sized cars, just make sure to roll it requently so the clay bar will collect a lot of dust, etc. I usually clay the car first then apply wax.

At WalMart you can get either Mothers ($13.87) or Clay Magic ($9.97). They both come with a spray on surface lubrication. You should be able to get at least 15 clay jobs out of one clay bar. When you run out of spray lube just use your quick detailing solution. You can make a soapy water mix but it will break down your clay bar rather quickly.

Make sure you give your cars an intensive wash prior to claying.
