So I have a coat of carnuba on my car, which should suffice until I can't get a better detailing situation worked out (I live in an apartment). I was wondering if these detailing sprays can be used over any wax. And if so, which is a good, readily available one?

I've been trying to keep the birds at bay with a bottle of water and some towels, but I also pick up some tar and bugs too. I figured a detailing product might be good to have in the car, or at least handy. I am assuming it does something more than loosen the contaminents on the paint. Does it actually put some kind of protection on the paint as well?

Most QD sprays will do. Mothers and Meguiar's are most readily available. What waxing system did you use?

No system yet. Just got a quick coat of carnuba on it until I can get a driveway and some Zaino (I think that's what I want).
