Advice regarding scuffs

Good news, the front scuff did indeed come out with some cleaner wax, and a bit of elbow grease. The small one in the rear, which is only about 1.5 inches long is a bit tougher and would not come out. When the sun finally comes out, some friends and I plan to spend the whole day claybarring, polishing waxing etc, so it'll get dealt with then. Too bad it seems like it's going to rain for the next 2 weeks straight 
Thanks again for all the advice. I'm definitely a little wary of using highly abrasive compounds, or harsh solvents since I have no trouble admitting that the extent of my detailing experience is basically washing and occaisionally waxing. I guess I have to learn sometime, however.
