I wanted you to see these pictures.

I noticed after I had been reading through recent Crystal Guard posts that some had questioned why we never do any older model cars.

Recently I moved my mother's 1978 Toyota Corona over to our shop, and had our Crystal Guard detailer work on it.

A bit of history first...the car has been stored in an open carport for 9 years and more recently has been stored outside in the parking lot of my office for about the last 8 months. It has been exposed to bad weather, bugs, bird droppings, tree sap and more. The car has only had basic car washes at the local drive through's, and spray on wax. None of which has been done in the last 9 years. My mother is 85 years old, and can no longer drive. The car has 40,000 original miles on it, but was looking pretty bad. I am considering selling it, so gave the Custom Exotica/Crystal Guard folks a shot at it.

In only 4 hours, they turned it from the appearance of a junker, into a new looking model. Minimal time was spent in buffing, although some was done.

was achieved through Crystal Guard.

Pretty incredible results if you ask me. I just went from maybe donating the car to charity to saving it as a collectible, or I may sell it to Custom Exotica as a Crystal Guard demo car.

Wow, that looks great! What did you do for washing and surface prep?

 

According to the detailer, he washed the car with soap first.

Then he buffed the car with regular buffing compound, and then after rinsing it off, he sprayed it with Crystal Guard Quick.

Pretty easy if you ask me, and the buffing was because of the lack of care over the previous 9 years, but nothing like a major week long project. Just a couple of hours.
