Default Zaino on the PPW? Any Recos?

I am getting ready to order the full line of Zaino products. However, it seems like the only opinionated people on here re: waxing, etc are those who own the darker colors (esp, Super Black). What about us PPWers? Any suggestions from users? or detailers?

You'll probably get the most vocal opinions from the owners of black cars because that's where you can really see a difference. A dirty black car looks terrible. A bad wash job or inept polish job on black looks even worse. A top notch detail job on black just looks killer. I *love* it when a customer brings me a black car to detail, because I can watch his jaw drop when he picks it up.

Shades of silver are very easy to keep looking good. The upside is you don't need to be totally **** to keep the car looking sharp. The downside is you can't get that "wow" reaction because your car color disperses so much light.

You can follow all the same procedures - keeping your car clean and protected will keep it looking new for years, but you'll spend more time driving and less time primping because of your color. Wise choice!

Thanks for the help... I will probably still pick up some Zaino because I love to wash my Z. It is quality time...

How much should I expect to pay for the whole line of Zaino products? Is there a kit? I couldn't find one on their website... so the itemized total comes to about $130. Is that right?

Where are you in Texas? I live in CT, but do a lot of business in Austin.

I have 2 coats of Zaino about to go on third. I personally can tell the difference and it feels good to know that your paint is being protected against the elements, but Showcarz is right - it shows much much better on darker colors. I would still recommend it becasue of the dirt and water repelency (is that a word?) and the protection of the clearcoat. The reflectivity on the metal parts like the hood and roof is outstanding, while the fiberglass pieces, especially the back bumper, don't seem to show much improvement.

My full set (Z5, Z2, Z6 (x2), clay, wash) cost about $120 including shipping and the free applicator, and I pretty much ran through the whole thing the very first day following Dr. Bonz's methodology, except Z6 which I had order 2 bottles of. I admit this being my first time and all, I may have wasted a lot.

I don't have any pics as of yet to post but I should have some after the next wash, coming up as soon as the rains die down here.

There is no "kit" on the website - everything is ala carte. Rarely does anyone need the "whole line" of products. My "Z starter kit" consists of one each Z-2, Z-6, Z-7, Z-16, Z-18 and ZFX. I throw in a free applicator pad, and the price is $80.70 plus tax.

I'm in Round Rock, which is just North of Austin. I'm the Zaino distributor for all of central Texas (as far South as San Antonio and as far north as Waco).

Shipping is $7.95, but I'm not allowed to ship out of state - Sal does all out-of-area shipping from Zaino HQ. Price is the same (he gives away a free applicator as well). Just go to www.zainobros.com, fill out the order form, and mail it in with a check made out to "Zaino."
