Default Tire Shine

Hello, im 20 and just got my z like 2 months ago and im learning to detail and stuff now. So whats the best tire shine, a shine that really shines and lasts long too. Ive been using an armorall gel but it lasts for a couple of days and it just doesnt shine as much as id like. Any suggestions? Also i clean my wheels regularly and i have some black marks around my wheels, how would i go about removing these? I ve tried wheel cleaners and scrubbing but nothing works.

On my old car i would use this stuff called Black Magic, I forgot who makes it, Maguires maybe? but the only bad thing about it is that it would build up and be close to impossible to clean it off.

Use Hot Wheel Tire shine, from Meguiar's, it has an adjustable nozzle for skinny tires, medium tires, and big ole truck tires haha. You only need one setting, but it lasts for weeks, and if you got a crappy rag, just rub the tire real good and it will come off...it ruins the towel, but who cares, wash it haha.

Also, I would try claybar to remove the rest of the black marks. I also use a Mr. Clean eraser if my wheels are super dirty beforehand. Plenty more suggestions and threads in the detailing section.

You use a clay bar on your tires?

any type of tire gel will last longer than a spray on application. and i just use a cloth and some wheel cleaner on the tires to clean them before i apply the dressing.

Agreed gel does last longer. I find the Turbo Wax tyre shine lasts really well and gives a great shine. https://s.hostingprod.com/@www.turbo...criptions.html

I'd take a photo if it wasn't night time. lol

Turtle Wax Platinum Tire Gel is my choice. A very light coat is all that's needed and it lasts a long while.

I used the Meguiar's High Gloss for a while, it is very good. But I recently switched to Zaino Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss. It seems to last longer than the Meguiar's and absorbs faster. It isn't formulated to leave the tires unusually glossy, but does give them a nice satin shine that also protects.
