Lol, quoting myself, or masks the hazing is probably more correct.

no idea how to correct this problem but.............I know how to prevent the problem in the future. When my Z was approx 2 weeks old I had a 3M clear bra installed, also popped the extra $90.00 to have the headlights covered as well. There were 2 reasons I did this, #1 the headlights are damn expensive if you have to repalce one $793.00 and the 3M material help out against stone damge and #2 I saw what had already happened to a friends Mercedes, use the 3M brand clear bra material guaranteed for 5 years against yellowing, or peeling

So what causes that haze anyway? My driverside does it far worse than the passenger side. Whats up with that?

anotehr alternative that works incredibly well is a product called bleach white (sp) i think its spelled differently then that but you can buy it at wal mart for like 2 dollars. Now i know the term bleach will scare most of you off but it wont harm your paint and if your a nut like me you can just line it off with paper or an absorbant towel... basically you use it as a lubricant for san paper (600-1200 grit depending on the degree of degradation) and tehn polish it off the plastx... you dotn need the polish but it makes them look like glass.... ive done it on numerous firends cars and they all swear it looks like incredible..

+1 on PlastX
+2 on PlastX

I use this on my bike, my helmet and the shield. It takes the swirl marks out of the clear and tinted motorcycle helmet shields and windscreens. I keep it on the bike with a microfiber mini-towel.

Is Plastx good for the rear lights?
I sorta buffed out a nice scratch the other day and it got it out, but the plastx itself left alot of fine scratches you can see when the sun hits it.

Yes it's fine for the rear lights too. Don't forget to lift the hood and the hatch to do the sides of the plastic. I would as bold as to suggest that the fine scratches you refer to, might have already been on there.

actually I have come to the conclusion the fine scratches may be Plastx residue. Im going to redo the light and this time use a better rag to wipe it off.

+ 1 Nexx.

Psytropic, same as with your paint, only clean good quality cloths, or you will end up with scratches. Did the Plastx cover the hazzing???
