During the rainy season, I'll wax my car as much as once a month. During the summer time, I'll wax once before the season and once after. Each time it usually takes me all day. Atleast 4-5 hours. But then, I also, detail the entire car at this time, so the actual waxing process may be about 2-3 hours.

I waxed the car in August 2006, and did it again this weekend. That would be 9 months. Black Magic was still beading water.

I usually divide the work into 2 days. Half the car one day, then finish it off the next.

I do it once a month but i also use a glaze in between.I just dont beleive in sealants becuase of the the quality on dark colored paint, but on light colored paints go for it.They last longer.

Complete wash once a week, usually on Saturday, usually around 8:30am. Takes me a couple of hours. Complete detail (wash, Zaino, interior, leather, tires) once a month. Takes me about 4 hours.

Just did a complete Wash, Clay, Cleaner Wax, Polish, and Wax job yesterday..took 5 hours->which means from now on... Im gonna use Wax as U Dry after every wash. Then a paste wax every 45 days. Claybar+ every 6 months.

Non-treated paint (Look how dull the finish is, and probably hasn't been waxed since brand new)

treated paint w/ full claybar/wax process( WOW!!!look at the difference, Looks like I added a few clear coats!!!!)

What sealants have you used? Opti-seal looks amazing on dark colored cars.

Every 3 months or so but the car really only gets out of the garage on weekends so. When I was using a car everyday I waxed once a month.

Hmm, generally every 2 - 3 weeks. But then in NZ our climatic conditions are very harsh.

I tried optiseal and just didnt like the results as much as i like a great quality glaze sealed by a high quality nuba.I am currently experimenting with polycharged pinnacle crystal mist and it seems to be pretty good.....so far.

I know this sounds funny but i took a week to complete mine. Of course the initial wash, claybar, 1 coat of ZAIO, 2 coats of z2 with zfx, interior and wheels took me about 6 hours. but over the period of 5 days i added a total of 11 coats of z2 with z6 and z8. plus every one of those days i added tire shine...

Crazy, i know but now i can be lazy for the next 6 months or so and not worry about it.

I like opti-seal a lot more than poli-seal.

This is the result I got with opti-seal topped with Nattys Blue
