Default Help!!! Gum on my leather seats!!!

My cousin sat on some gum at a party then sat in my car leaving a huge spot of gum stuck on my seat what would be the best method to get the gum off my seat without ruining my seat and leaving a shade difference where the gum was?

Use an icecube to freeze the gum off. It does work and won't discolour the leather.

I had the same issue a couple months ago and it was discussed at length in the forum....

I took most of the big chunks of the gum out by putting ice on it and then picking it off once it hardened. Once most was removed, I used packing tape to pull off the residue traces of gum.

There is no sign of the gum now.

Good luck

Use vegetable oil on the leather and seatbelts. Ice works very well on carpet. Ive never used ice on leather. Best of luck

I use a Dust off Can upside down to freeze it. Then It should come rite off. For the residue left over Goo Gone or DeNatured Alcohol, although i think the Denatured stuff might be a little harsh for the leather.

To remove the gum I used a zip lock bag of ice to chill the gum. When the gum was hardend it was easy to peel off with my finger nail. The residue from the gum was easily removed with some dabs from a piece of tape GOOD AS NEW.
