Meguiar's / Meguiars. A Complete Guide Of Products To Prep Your Car For The Show...
The PlastX work wonders! When I bought my Z, the lenses were yellowy and scratched. I got this stuff (much cheaper than some other products out there) and it really does a nice job. I just used one of those microfiber pads to apply. For my job it took a couple of tries, but each time it got a little clearer.
Would definately recommend it.

Dang Val, nice write up. I went out today and bought several Meg's stuff. First time I've ever actually looked forward to washing my car. Hope it turns out as good as some of the ones I've seen here.
Nice write up vo7848. Years ago I decided to try and stay with one car cleaning vendor, and concentrate on its products. I chose Meguiars. A quote of one of their main forum moderators went something like this: "Find what you like, and use it often."
I offer for your consideration another product: Meguiars #40 Vinyl & Rubber Conditioner. It's in their professional series. Great for outside rubber and inside rubber and vinyl. Pay attention noobs - you have to use carefully: I put this on the turn signal lever of my '99 intrigue and if took the paint markings off. Strong stuff but works great on rubber window and door seals. Find something to test on and you'll fall in love too.
Leatherique makes interesting products also. I've used their cleaning and conditioning products for leather. The most interesting thing I got was their cleaning philosophy on cleaning leather from their web site. They wrote about the proper sequence is to condition the leather first, and then clean it. Said the conditioning helps bring dirt and contaminants to the surface. Very different from what most of us do.

Tried the Ultimate Paste Wax today - I've used the Gold Class Paste Wax in the past but I've been unhappy with the longevity. Application was easy, smelled great, and the shine was really good. I've read reviews that it lasts longer than the Gold Class so I'm hoping for the best!
For those who REALLY want a beautiful shine, use a good buffer. The difference between a car that's been buffed with a high-quality buffer (I use a Porter Cable) with varying degrees of buffer pads and a wax job done by hand is night and day.
