Deff not rail dust for me. It's bug, bird, or plants. Something living made this stuff.

If this stuff does disappear I would be happy as hell. Nothing takes it off so I guess it's magic

my guess is that it's pollen. I've gotten on my car too but it has never stained my car.

If it is pollen I'd like to know what the physics are behind it disappearing. Goo Gone wouldn't even take it off.

I mainly get it when I park in my father's driveway. He has pine trees everywhere.

Pine trees it is. They drop and drift gooball-pollen through the air. You don't have to park under a tree to get it either. Products of Spring and Summer. fortuantley I have a 'garage' at home and work so I don't see the stuff often. I do get the pollen dust all over though, it just settles and won't come off without a little detail spray. it just pushes around, very frustrating static-attack.

Get a car cover and see if you see it on there. like 30 bux for a universal cover at sams or costco. BTW the Z is 14.5 feet long when choosing the right size, 'large' I beleive.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

a. Pollen plus moisture.
b. Contaminates in the air plus moister.
c. Aphids. Aphids eat leaves and secret poop. Maple is a first choice of aphids.

It certainly is and would help immensely for us to help you Seel.

You'd be surprised how far pollen and trees matter can travel in the wind or breeze.

I agree. I'm going to look for another spot tomorrow and I'll take a pic of I find a fresh one. Happens nearly everyday so it shouldn't be hard.

Wouldn't you know it as soon as I bring it up, it stops appearing on my car.

Anyway, I've read numerous posts now that say it just disappears and it has from mine. Still annoying though.

I have a PPW and live in Dallas, and I get these too. I noticed that I had to really use some force to get the solid part off, but then it left the yellow have in the shape of whatever it was on the paint. I would try so hard to attempt to get it off, but it would not budge. I would just leave it and it would not be there the next time I washed my car, (which would be a few days later). I will try to get a picture of it too. I also don't park under trees, and live in Dallas so don't run into to many palm trees.

Finally, here are some pics of what everyone is talking about. (I'm going to get to detailing my car this weekend... Super Black is a Biyatch to keep clean... but well worth it...)

I live in Los Angeles, there are many trees near me including Palms....

Exactly.... Believe me it's not bird crap and yellow if you look at it directly; my camera combined with the sunlight give it a lighter color. The spots are too sporadicly placed to be bird-crap; it's on the hood and along the sides of the car... almost instantly after washing....

This doesn't help what you have now but for future purposes, use a car cover. I do and you wouldn't believe the unfathomable crap that the cover has spared from my car's surface.
