Default Yellow stuff that looks like DRIED MUSTARD :(

I live in south Texas so this might be a regional problem for all I know. Anyway, I own a PPW and this "stuff" keeps appearing on my car. I wash it off and wherever it was leaves a yellow stain. It's hideous and it doesn't matter what I do to it (clay bar, quick detail spray, etc.) it will not come off.

Now I'm not sure if it's bug poop or some type of bird poop but it could be either one or neither. It could be a number of things but I know its' not coming from tree sap or anything like that.

Anyone having this problem???

I get it too. It's something that comes off the trees. Keep your car waxed regularly and the yellow stuff won't stain.

I've waxed my car 3 times in 2 weeks and it still keeps staining it. I don't think it's coming from trees either. I don't park under any trees and I'll still find it on my car.

BTW, what is the best wax to buy for our cars that I can get at Autozone?

It's key gnome feces. They eat a lot of banana puree.

I get it too...it appears to stain at first, but it goes away after a while. There are no palm trees anywhere near me, but i believe it has something to do with the landscaping around here. I'm not really sure, i just get it off asap and it doesn't seem to really hurt anything.

edit...oh yeah...i park far from trees and grass actually, and i still get it.

That's just like me. I intentionally started parking in way open areas to see if it was grass or trees. Nope, still get it.

So you are saying if wash it off and let it sit there it will go away?

Yeah, you usually have to scrape it off with you fingernail...after that i will just spot clean it with some quick detailer (which i keep in the stash box). It will leave a stain, but after a while it goes away. So just clean it off and don't worry about it...it isn't staining the paint.

The first time i got it on my paint, i wiped it off and saw the stain...immediately pulled out the buffer and compound...nothing...i buffed the crap out of that paint to barely get it out. I didn't know better so each time i saw some i freaked out and got it off fast, but it left the stain. But i noticed after a couple days that they would disappear. I am very OCD so i can remember where they were, i was going to try to buff them out a couple days later but they were gone.

I'm going to have to call bs on that, i worked a block away for about 6 weeks and never saw this on my paint during that time. I was a bigger parking lot with less trees and grass.

I have thought pollen too, but was wondering how and why it bunches up like that in little spots or lines.

it might be rail dust, my mom parks her car in the market and the railroad passes by everyday. She gets alot of yellow spots that stain her whole car. I don't know if you pass by any railroads or anything like that.

+1, mine always goes away. I figured it was because I keep a decent wax job on the Z.
