Anyone have any ideas what to use to clean the stiching on the interior emblems like where the Z is stiched into the floormats?

Im thinking just sudsy water and a toothbrush? I dont wanna use the same steam cleaner on them that I do on the rest of the carpeting, cause Ive had it royally fuggup stitching before...
