I've been thinking of this lately since it's ungodly hot out, but I would ask in your regional forum for a referral... I don't wanna let some scrub detail my car

Just a hint for future reference: This is a general forum. Regional questions are better answered in the appropriate regional forum.

I have a friend that does it professionally, other than that... i wouldn't let anyone touch my car with a buffer. Things like that come back to bite you for some odd reason.

I trust my detailer. But, that's probably because I know he has a much faster/stronger car than mine

He's not asking for a regional recommendation, he's asking if anyone has ever had a professional detailer work on their car.

Cleaning and detailing forum, yes, regional forum, no. Also, try being a little friendlier next time. Despite what you think your post count says, you don't own this site.

why pay money to someone else for something i take pride in doing, which is detailing and taking care of my car. just does not seem right.

to get sap off, use a claybar. comes off very quickly.

just buy a bar of clay and spray wax. and soak the area with spray wax or else if the area is too dry, then ull get the clay smeared on the car.

I just had 2 new cars done today with a company I found on this forum. If they know what they're doing, you'll be fine. Check the regional forum for recommendations.
