pics would help, first i would wash it w/dawn dishsoap, then claybar it. that should take it off, then put a good wax on.

Well I wouldn't have used bug and tar remover. Like idwin said, Dawn dishwap soap will strip it down pretty good...then claybar it and polish it. If polishing doesn't fix it, then it's *&%(#D. Hopefully it will and then you can slap some wax on it.

Worse comes to worse...sue em! This is America afterall, right?

If it won't wash out and it appears to truly be a stain, then you're going to need some kind of polish or polish/cleaner. Unlike a wax, a polish/cleaner will remove a small amount of the clearcoat leaving you with a clear surface again.

use the search button on claybar, it's cheap, easy, just time consuming but really is mandatory no matter what if your looking for a nice finish.

It's amazing dude. After you use it you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. As the name states, it's a little block of clay, and you spray the car with detail spray and work in little areas, going back and forth with the clay. It removes all sorts of contaminants in your paint, and I personally won't wax my car anymore without a claybar treatment first. Otherwise, you're just sealing in and rubbing around a ton of crap stuck in your paint.

You can buy it in a kit...Mothers or Meguiars...Autozone, Advance Autoparts, Pep Boys, etc.. I'm sure they all carry it. If you feel like waiting, you can go for higher end stuff from Autogeek or Autopia...but they really all do the same thing.

Take it to a body shop. They can do a compound job, wax, then glaze. That job cost about $100.00. But that will take care of your problem.

Like DavesZ#3 said, you'll most likely need a polishing compound. Try 3M.

Claybar tends to work only on light surface contaminates and dirt.

I would probably go for something like either Turbo Wax, cleaner wax or the Meguiar's or Mothers cleaner waxes. Best to start of less agressively IMO.

If you are uncertain about grades of polishing compounds, and how to use them properly, then take the car to a pro. No point in making the problem worse.

If I had to transport my car with a trailer, I'd get a car cover to put over the car...

Woooow. Washing a car gets tedious after a while, but using that top-of-the-line stuff and being able to be in presence of such nice cars would make it worth it. Also the fact of making 5000 pounds per car...

That link has been around for quite a while, still a goodie though. A lot involved to do what he does that that extent.
