Default Good question

I've got the same problem. I have a very small spot also. You can see it at different angles.

Thanks to anyone in advance!!!

I used the buffing compound in Feb and noticed it a little then and forgot about until yesterday when I was walking up to my car at just the right angle and saw it.

It looks like a grease spot, I wonder if applying some clear coat would help shine it up a bit.

Default try this

Sounds like you buffed through the clear coat.

If you were using a semi-course buffing compound then try some Megiuars scratch remover followed by their polish all applied by hand and then a good coat of carnuba wax.
That should get the gloss and shine back.

You'll probably get more response in the detailing forum.

What type of buffing compound? Typically anything that uses the word "compound" is bad news...

Default Dull Spot

Go to an automotive paint supply store and show them the problem. They have a few products that can take care of your problem. I took some wet sand paper (2000 grit) to a spot on a Jaguar and buffed it by hand and you could not even tell where the blemish was. They do have some amazing products out there. You just need to know where to look. The auto part stores will not have them. you must go to a auotmotive paint supplier. By the way this stuff I bought was not cheap. It was about 40.00 dollars for the two products I needed to take care of my problem. I am not sure of the name because I am at work now and cannot look at the bottle, but I believe one bottle was a micro cut compound and the other was a polish to be use after it. Hope this helps.

$16 for a bottle of Menzerna Final Polish from properautocare.com.

This stuff is wonderfull. It will even polish out 2000 grit scratches.

I used some of this on my SuperBlack before Zaino and it looked better after the polishing (pre-Zaino) than it did new. And it doesn't use fillers to mask the issues.

If the hazing is severe, you may want to use the Menzerna Intensive Polish before the Final Polish.

I have the Porter Cable Dual action polisher machine. Is there any danger in screwing up your paint using the Porter with the Menzerna Final Polish?

I use the PorterCable on my car for this. This is such a mild polish that you'd really have to try to screw something up.

I've already used Zaino on my car. Can i just put some Menzerna Final Polish on the hazed spot and then Zaino over it?

Yes you can. Obviously you'll polish the Zaino off so you'll want to reapply the Zaino when your done.
