bird doo doo
So i saw some orange/brown bird doo doo. I washed it off right away because i heard if you leave it, it can ruin the paint. So i got all the surfance doo doo off but i can still see fades of orange on the paint.. I try rubbing and it feels like its in the clear cloat(because its smooth)
any suggestions on how to fix this?
thanks

Use 3M rubbing compound. Then follow up with Meguiars scratch X. Trust me, it will work. You need to use both though. Finish with wax.
You can find this stuff at pep boys, etc. Be careful not to rub too much away clear coat with rubbing compound. Just enough to smooth it out. Do a search, others have done it this way.

and no, claybar wont work. need to buff. and ur not supposed to buff with wax, u dont want to shine it. use the right supplies if ur going to buff your car. if u BUFF wax over it, it can posssibly stay forever. ull work it into the paint so fast from heat.

Scratch X has worked for me in the past. You gotta work it a bit though, 2 or 3 rubbing sessions. Then you wax over it. I never tried the 3M rubbing compound, I might have to check it out.

FYI: Baking soda mixed with water @ 50/50 mixture should be applied as soon as you find the offending product on your car. The baking soda neutrealizes the acid in the bird dung. I usually apply enough to soak the area, let it sit fior a few moments, then use a hose to wash it off ( or cloth soaked with water if it is a small spot). Then proceed to wash your car.

http://www.properautocare.com has bird crap remover. Works well. It is a marine item they ported over to the auto side.
