While moisture may have contributed to the foggy look, I don't think this is what your seeing. To fix your head lights you can restore them with a light wetsand and polish. If you want to remove slightly deeper imperfections you should first do a little wet sanding. Typically I'll tape off the surrounding trim and paint. Then I'll use 600 - 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper and buff with light to medium pressure with a soap and water mix misted on the surface regularly. Repeat this process with1,000 girt and 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. This should leave the surface very smooth but hazy so you'll want to follow it up with at least two polishes and work them in thoroughly. If you don't want to wet sand you can go right to polishing. Typically I would use a medium cutting polish (Menzerna Intensive Polish) and follow it with a light finishing polish (Menzerna Final Polish II). If you went very aggressive with the wet sanding you may need to add a heavy compounding polish before the medium cutting polish to fully remove any haze. If you have any questions about how to do this please let me know. Good luck!

I would only bring it to a detailer who had a very good reputation for polishing. Typical "car wash" places are usually not very skilled at polishing, which takes time to master. If they don't seem very knowledgeable about polishing and buffers then I would be very reluctant to let them detail my vehicle. I'd suggest looking for references before letting them do any work as well.

No problem at all. I just don't want you to pay $100+ for a detail that just covers up the problem. If you want to polish the paint yourself you can do it for under $200, if you're interested which would include the Porter Cable 7424, Velcro Backing Plate, 2X Pads, 2X Polishes. Good luck and let us know what you decide and how it works out for you.

I just found a local detailer in this forum!! I might ask them to do it first. So I get the idea how it should be done.
Then afterwards, I can buy from you and do it myself.
Will post picture after the detail! Probably will do it next weekend.. Its a 4 times/month maintenance program which sounds good with a reasonable price!

Glad to hear you found someone who will be familiar with the vehicle and is in your area. Please let me know if I can help you any further!
