Default best price on a Porter Cable with pads for a beginner

Like the title says, where is the best place to buy a PC that comes with some pads?

My new project car is being delivered tomorrow and I wanted to practice on it hahahaha (it will be getting painted in the future anyways).

I found this deal, but wondering if anywhere else is less money.

thanks guys

I like autogeek but that kit is way too expensive. You are better off buying the porter cable unit itself seperately then getting a pad kit. It will be around 160 for all of it. I would go with a 6" backing plate if you are just starting out. And use 6.5 inch pads.

http://www.wttool.com/product-exec/p...ander_Polisher

Both of these are better units ---you have to buy pads but as far as that---1 good foam and 2 wools will last you a couple years---

The best is the Makita----thats a Pro Buffer for sure and I like using it ---nice control and lite weight

Better units yes, but not in the hands of someone who cant even use a random orbital. A rotary with him is just asking for burnt paint.

Are you on crack?
Why would you recommend a circular to someone who has no experience?
OP Please be careful who you take advice from there are many people who have thier head up thier but like this guy!
The Porter is the way to go, by the way I am selling mine as I am upgrading.
I can put a package together pretty close to what was seen in that ad.
Let me know if you are interested, I can save you a few bucks, machinr works great and is only a year old.

^^ x2. You don't buy those as a rookie. You will burn and destory the paint. Get the portable cable. It does it's job well for pretty much everything you need.

Thank you for the plugs before guys I really appreciate it. At Detailed Image we have recently created our DI Packages section. We have two Porter Cable 7424 packages that I think are a great value. Here are the packages:

Porter Cable 7424 Starter Kit $199.99
Porter Cable 7424
6" Velcro Backing Plate
6" Counterweight
3x Orange Light Cutting Pad
3x White Polishing Pad
2x Black Finishing Pad
2x Blue Fine Finishing Pad
3x Snappy Clean Pad Cleaner

Porter Cable 7424 Advanced Kit $239.99
Porter Cable 7424
6" Velcro Backing Plate
6" Counterweight
3x Yellow Cutting Pad
3x Orange Light Cutting Pad
3x White Polishing Pad
3x Black Finishing Pad
3x Blue Fine Finishing Pad
6x Snappy Clean Pad Cleaner

I believe both of these packages provide an outstanding value and no "extras". Both kits give you everything you need to do a complete detail. You can have any combination of the pads to best meet your needs, just let us know what pads you want in the comments field when you check out. Let me know if you have any questions about these packages, Porter Cable 7424 or anything related to detailing.

The pads that are listed in that kit are 6.5" pads from Lake Country Mfg. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Our international shipping prices are directly related to what the USPS charges. We do not ship internationally using FedEx or UPS to help customers avoid higher shipping costs and heavier duties. Unfortunately one small item still requires a lot of travel and custom's clearance. We do our best to keep our shipping charges to a bare minimum and I'm sorry if this does not meet your needs at this time.
