I rent carpet shampooers from the local grocery store. They work wonders in the car....

But when it's cold out and raining like it has been lately it smells like wet dogs smoking with a mold funk twist. He hit's the heat and it get's bad quick, it was so bad he left the dog at home several days last week. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Meguiar's Odor Eliminator (about $3.00) literally surrounds the odors at a molecular level so your nose won't pick them up. I don't think it's bad, but some say it has a medicinal scent. While better than wet bowzers & cigs, if you don't care for that, you can easily mask it w/ Fabreze. Note that Fabreze's chemistry works great in a house, but not so well in an auto environment where it's hotter/colder & more humid, hence the recommendation to use Meguiar's first to trap ("eliminate") the odor, then cover its smell if you don't like it.
Good luck, and make sure you've got the important German commands down in case you find yourself 1-on-1 w/ Fido!
