Default Adhesive Removal from new car tag

Hi - I just got my 350Z and when I removed the factory safety tag from the cup holder, it left behind some really sticky adhesive residue. I don't want to use goo-gone, or something similar, because I've seen that stuff melt plastic. How should I get that stuff off?

Try alcohol. Goo-gone should be ok on that type of plastic. You can always do a test spot under the dash or someplace.

I always use some of that orange oil based adhesive remover. It works great for just about any adhesive and won't harm the surface.

You can find it in many hardware/discount stores. I got mine in K-mart. It was in the paint section next to the masking tape.
