Question circular scratches and removal

I have a 6 month old 350Z. It has circular scratches from washing and and scratches from use. Can they be removed by using a polish or do I have use a scratch removal product? Which type of product will remove the scratches and not just cover them up.

or you can go ahead and go to a really well known and reputable detailer/bodyshop and get the car wetsanded and then buffed and polished.

Here's a good post for detailing that I'll be following myself this spring. It has a lot of good info:

only wash with microfiber sponges.dry with microfiber-your going to have to buff wax on with a cleaner wax, remove by hand ,then follow with buffing on a good polish-like meguires teh wax(use hard paste)then wipe off by hand-finnish with a detail spray like ice-or quick detail.

**NEVER EVER WASH YOUR CAR WITH A BRUSH OR TERRY CLOTH!!!!!**

You're going to need some power to help polish out the scratches - like a Porter Cable or Flex to start.

If you try by hand, expect a work out and plan to spend A LOT of time. If you have to do this by hand, the easiest thing to do is to cover it up. Meguiar's NXT Tech wax will provide this type of coverage for you (decently).

I groomed a car a couple of weeks ago, super swirl city. Very abused paint, it now looks a million dollars. I used the Turbo Wax system, washed/shampooed the car, dried, cleaner wax then removed, swirl remover then removed, last but not least the Paint Protection/Wax. The owner of the car is still blown away, he never thought it could come up even half that good. http://www.turbowax.com

Now the results speak for themselves.
Ugly swirls

Yay, at last swirl be gone.

Why thank you. Believe it or not, that was all done by hand. I prefer to be able to see exactly what's going on. Always achieved great results.

Only secret really is attention to detail, and making sure the cloths you use to remove the product are clean and a good quality.

I've had great results with Zaino products. I had tons of scratches on the butt end of my z from a tarp lashing at it during a storm. Used some Z5 and then Z6 and looks great, although its a 'filler' type solution, it last a long time.

Lol, thank you. I've even managed to convert the owner, after what he's seen into looking after the paint now, he gets all stressed if there is even a bit of dirt on it.

Gebster - Do yourself a favor and read through this link at Meguiar's http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2409... I found this info immensely helpful in correcting/maintaining my ZR's finish!

I'm a Meg's believer, but regardless of which brand you choose, learning the proper techniques and corrective steps will optimize your outcomes and make you (& your Z) happy campers!

Best of luck!
