Default 1st clay bar use - Love it!

I tried the clay bar that I've ya'll describe. Here are my experiences.

Before starting I searched this forum and found out a good deal of information which is appreciated. Clearer directions than the box it came in. I used the product from Clay Magic. I know it's not Zanio but it is available locally and I don't have stock in Zanio.

After washing my Z carefully I started with the clay bar. As the bar moved over the paint I found I could feel the smallest bump. I did keep the surface fairly wet after finding out that the clay sticks like crazy when you don't. It did not take long to complete. The clay did not look real dirty at any one time until I got under the rocker panels. The air here must be cleaner than other areas of the country.

Flattening the clay and folding it was pretty easy. After folding I let the pressure from my fingers gentley flatten the cake out. Once it was spread out then it generally needed to be folded again. Pretty slick.

When I rinsed the car down I was amazed that the water beaded like I had just waxed it. Is this because of the clay smoothing or because it's so clean?

I wish I had know about this product for the last 30 years. I would have loved to do this with my 1st 240Z.

I put on a coat of Meguiars Gold Class and it's as beautiful as the day I got it.

Included is a picture (I hope).

Default Clay Was

yEAH, that clay wax took off some black deposits left by either polution in the air or some burnt gas on my rear bumber that buffing, scratch-x, and a bunch off elbow grease could not remove. Clay wax saved me $150 that the detailer was going to charge me....
