I've only use a buffer to remove wax not apply it. It's recommended that you apply waxes in a linear motion (at least Zaino) but most everyone still uses a circular pattern.

Griot's has a complete package for the Porter-Cable system. I believe it is variable speed so you can keep it on a low setting. A little pricey. I looked into this once and was able to find the same unit at a tool site for about $150.

I have a Waxmaster (Kragens $50) that I only use on my Toyota (older paint). The Z gets everything done by hand. Zaino is easy to work with.

theres no damage done by them I dont think. but if you get a high speed dont use swirl remover or anything or it could go through, but as long as there is no polishing compound in it, no problem.

it will waste alot of was if you use it to apply it. and if you use an expensive wax, that would be bad.
