Default Zaino newbie Questions

Hey Folks,

I pay $15 every two weeks to have my car washed and it doesn't look anything like your Zaino'd cars.

Here is a pic i took yesterday:

I want to join this Zaino cult so i was wondering what steps i should take. Has anyone with the Lemans Sunset Zaino'd? If so, any pics?

What products must I buy?

Thanks in advance.

You could get the Total Protection Show Car Set, although I really have never used the ZFX. I use Z1 and patience instead to start off, never really saw the need for the expensive ZFX.

At a minimum, though, I'd say you have to have Z1, Z2, and Z6. The clay on a fairly new car is nice, but probably not 100% needed if you just want good protection. I'd recommend it, though, especially if there is other wax on the car. Z5 is also great if you have any small surface imperfections or swirl marks to hide, and eventually you'll want it. The Z7 car wash soap is good stuff, and I'd get it just because I was ordering the other stuff. If I run out, though, I don't rush right out and order more, I'm happy to use other good quality car wash stuff and it hasn't caused problems. The terry cloth applicators are crap, IMO, and fall apart after one use in most cases for me. Definitely won't hold up if you try to machine wash them, so I get the little round terry ones from Wal-Mart, which hold up much better.

dont even NEED Z6 I dont think, but that is one part that will help give the car the full shine.

I too elect for the cheaper Z1 vs ZFX. but if you cant wait overnight or all day, then the ZFX is needed so that it dries faster.

car wash is car wash IMO. Im sure theres is good and all, but I use the best stuff walmart sells, I think a good washing is in the form not the equipment.

Zaino gives an intimidating appearance, im not sure I agree with there marketing strategy of pushing so much stuff. getting clay and ZFX, Z2, Z5, Z6 , the soap, and tire blah blah blah.

yeah you car will be ready for a show, but youll be out 100$ atleast.

I would reccomend clay, but again, its not required. its just something that will make it all that much better.
