One of these days, I'd like to see my Brick next to a well Zainoed one. I opted for the wax that CazzzzZ in SoCali used. Its called Martgold's Magic and made/sold by a SoCali detailer.
Anyway, Bonz's car looks terrific but I don't think any better than mine. And I bet the Zaino quick detailer doesn't smell as nice as the coconut scented one Martgold makes!! LOL! Would be fun to compare.
Guess I'm conscious of this topic because I spent 3 hours yesterday putting on a fresh coat.

I just ordered the new formula Z5 and Z2.
I decided to remove all the CG I had applied and start fresh.
Last weekend I got 4 layers of Z5 (old) on the car, and I hope to get maybe on or two layers tonight.
Yeah, my arm is a bit tired.

No, I just do them with Z-6. It works great. Cleans really well and makes them water repellant too. The rain just zips up over the windsheild without the wipers even on!

New forumla seems to be shipping...
After reading the people raving about Zaino, I decided to put an order in about a week and a half ago. I haven't yet put it on the car as I'm waiting for my ClearBra install to cure a bit more before I start applying the layers of Zaino.
Anyway, I opened the box last night and the items I got looked just like the "new" formula bottles that the good Doctor posted.
Hopefully I'll be able to detail the car this weekend, the hot weather we've been getting up here in the PacNW has helped with the curing process of the ClearBra...

What made you change your mind?
I started using CGQ based, in part, on your testimony. Since, I've found I like the shine, but bug and bird bomb protection is lacking.
I've been using CGQuick since I bought my Z, but, I think I'm going to be following in your (and Dr. Bonz) footsteps and start using Zaino.
Can't beat the look of Zaino on Dr. Bonz's car...
mgk

I wanted to make my paint flawless. So I stripped off CG, buffed out some light swirls. . . . .got the paint as flawless as possible. Then I began the Zaino process. I "do" like the detailing process. . . . . . . . . . . . . sometimes .
I think CG is meant for those that DON'T want to detail their cars every weekend, and I think too much CG will cause build-up and haze the finish.
But, I just applied CG coat #2 to my wife's IS300. It still looks awsome.
BTW: Dr. B,
Have you tried applying Zaino w/ a Porter Cable orbital buffer? It applies Zaino SO perfectly!!! Very light coat, and so much faster & less effort. I use it w/ a Griots Garage red waxing pad. It is really awsome.

BILLZ: You have come over from the Dark Side! Welcome. All who enter the House of Zaino are welcome here!
DrDrilz: A little rain never hurt my Z. Those 37 layer just LAUGH at the rain!
Slaponte: You don't need my help. It's easy once you get the hang of it! Zaino on!
Bill: The only problem I see with APPLYING with a buffer it that you probably waste more Zaino on the pad of the buffer than you actually apply to the car. I like to apply it VERY thin since I think you are only wasting it if you go any thicker. I don't know, I've never used a buffer with Zaino. Maybe I'm wrong. Also, I don't know how it could be any faster. Of all of the Zaino steps, APPLYING has got to be the fastest. I just go side to side on horizontal sections and up and down on vertical ones. I try to blend in the two as well. I'd be worried about creating swirls with the orbital motion of the polisher.

DAMN YOU BONZ!!! DAMN YOU!!! No more pics, please. I used to love opening my garage and seeing my car. Now I look at it it with disgust. "You pathetic POS! Only 8 coats of Zaino! You're not worthy enough to be driven!"
