FYI: Turtle Wax Ice Synthetic Polish
Incase anyone is looking for a polish that can be done by hand.... I just tried out Turtle Wax Ice Synthetic Polish that you can get in Target. I detailed a Tahoe with 90,000 miles and the stuff really got into all the little scratches and came out great. Plus it was like 10 bucks, and even comes with a towel!!!
Could just be fillers, but it really came out nice. I just used an applicator and just rubbed it into the paint.
I covered it with Turtle wax liquid wax, and that came out pretty well, and supposedly lasts for 12 months. hrrmmmmmm

I hate that stuff!! I used it on my CS Z and it left a film that took me along time to buff out (by hand). Now I use Eagle 1 nano wax paste and I have been very happy so far.

I like using ICE on my truck, it is really easy and quick. It is just fillers, but for a quick job on a DD I liked the results. The trick is using very light amounts of the polish on the applicator. If you over apply it you will get that film mentioned above or uneven spots. I wouldn't use it on my Z, but it beats nothing at all for a DD.
Yea I got the film from the wax too, but this Tahoe was in terible shape. The guy wanted wax that would last a long time. But I tell ya the polish did wonders filling in all the crap after a claying.
To get most of the film off from the wax, I went around with a spray detailer and just took most of it off that way.
On the next car I tried Black Magic Wax and I was pretty pleased with that. I am using them on peoples cars that just want a wax put on period. They dont really have a preferance, as long as it lasts a while. I figure its a good chance to experiment a little. And the cars get detailed once a year and spend the other 51 weeks at an automatic car wash
