Zaino is a multiple step product that nets great results. It isn't a "wax". It does take a longer process, but of course most claim the results are worth it.

meg 16oz is $12.95
mag 8oz is $34.99
Again, carnauba based waxes are not the same. The concentration of carnauba generally translates a more reflective and deep shine. Pure carnauba is expensive hence the higher prices for higher quality waxes. Believe it or not there about up to 10 different ingredients in carnauba waxes. Just take my word for it, they're not even remotely similar.

All I ask is rather than babbling back and forth, give Migliore a try. I've had rave reviews from hundreds of customers. Just like in the department store, my Jordans have lasted me 6 years, where as my cheap Chuck Taylors are done in about a year. It's very comparative to waxes, the quality of product you are purchasing.

Zaino is great stuff no doubt, but its not a quick wax on wax off.

Its an intense multi step process.

A zaino process might look something like this:

Wash
Wash with Dawn soap
clayar
wash again
Air dry
Z1
z5
z2
z6 or z8
z2
z6 or z8
z2
z6 or z8
zclr

and your done.........
Last about 6 months depending on how much you wash or how much rain/sun you see.

You can go back and add layers of z5 or z2 as needed. Washing is easy, keeping the car wet is hard though. Zaino is good stuff........but can cost a small fortune and requires a ton of work.

Waxes offer strong protection but unfortunately they only last a couple weeks. I would highly recommend applying a sealant down first to protect the paint longer. Sealants are basically artificial waxes that last much longer and look great as well. Waxes are still great because they tend to offer more depth and gloss. Ideally I would apply a sealant first and then layer a wax on top of it.

Sealants
My favorite sealants are the Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 and Menzerna FMJ. Both of them offer outstanding protection, shine and ease of use. I highly recommend both and use them both as well. If you want something more affordable try the Poorboy's World EX-P. It's a great value and works very well.

Waxes
If you want to layer a wax on top of the paint the Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax, Blackfire Midnight Sun are two of my favorites. These are some top of the line waxes that look outstanding. Try the Chemical Guys Pete's 53 Wax if you want something more middle of the road price wise. For outstanding value try the Poorboy's World Natty's Blue Paste Wax. It's affordable and looks exceptional on dark paint!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

You started this thread, waited 10 minutes, and then started a duplicate one. Interesting.

The best "protecting" wax would be one of the collonites. Dont remember numbers. But people are getting a solid 6+ months of durability. Throw a layer of klasse aio under than and then 2 layers of the collonite and you have some extreme protection with some good shine.

Meguiar's Gold Class is the only thing I'd use on a black Z (even though I drive a CS one ). Orbital buffer with at least 4 pads and a couple of microfiber pads to round it up.

Beautiful results bar none.

Best opinion, I have had people ask me what I use after seeing my car
and say "WTF I spent xxx.xx and it's not even close to your shine" $ does
not = best.... it's how you apply it. my2cent.

I like Zaino, it's easy as hell to get off the excess and those steps you listed are for the first time you do it.

My Zaino kit lasted quite a while and I waxed more often than 6 months.

i have a 2005 G coupe. i just bought a brand new porter cable 7424 DA buffer and menzerna's line of polish (intensive polish, final polish, final touch glaze, full molecular jacket.) it's still new in the box, but all my research on several forums have led me to get this particular lineup. i'll let you know in the next week how it goes! since your car is nearly new you might be good with a wash, claybar, final touch glaze and seal with full molecular jacket.you figure you certainly didn't cheap out on your brand new black car! you should step up to professional grade car products.

I really love my Menzerna Polishes. I use the Intensive Polish for cars with deeper swirling and marring and Finishing Polish II

LOL I have nothing but respect for you and have learned a good amount
from your post's they have had good result's, but it cracks me up when you bash other product's. I use Meguiars products with great results and will continue to do so even if you bash, you know your **** when it comes to
detailing so instead of bashing maybe you should just say you may get better result's if you try brand X. I still think it's all about prep & application and Im sure that I read that from one of your post's.

I just did some cleaning this weekend... I'll have to post some pics. I don't use just one companies products, but many.

Started with Meg's Gold Class Car wash
Meg's Clay Bar (on the spots that need it -- Great for bird poo and sap)
Sonus Paint Cleanser (this gets it ready for some Glaze)
Klasse Sealant / Glaze x 3 coats (each coat stays on 8-12 hours - shine is FANTASTIC!)
Meg's NXT Wax x 2 coats

Shines like it's wet now.

Are these cars fast? You ask that question after you bought the car? lol...

well i don't know what kind of camaro you had..but if it was a v8, then compared to that, no, but it does handle like it was on rails.

Sealants will be your best option followed by wax.
