I took the front splash guards off today and got a surprise. They were both full of stones and mud. Not too much of a problem in AL. However if I still lived in Michigan with the winter salt/chloride mess I would be careful. The corrosive material could be carried around all year and might cause problems even with the new corrosion protection automakers use.

I remember my 64 1/2 Barracude and the wonderful time I had repairing the rear quarter panels....

Miss the car but not the rust.
