circular hologram type scratches?
I recently switched from an M3 to a 350z. When I purchased the 350 from the dealership I noticed no marks or scuffs. While waiting for my car they had told me they were going to detail it. It's been a couple weeks since my purchase and while looking at it in the bright sun I noticed almost hologram type circular marks. It looks horrible in bright sunlight and covers the entire car. I'm not sure what to do since the car has no warranty. Has anyone had experience with these type of markings?

Two potential problems I see here, it could be swirls and/or holograms. Most likely a coating of wax and/or glaze that was temporarily covering up the surface. Swirls are ultra fine scratches usually in a curved pattern. A lot of them can make the paint look dull and feel slightly rough or bumpy. Holograms are typically from a buffer when too much heat is built up on the surface. It distorts the clear coat and leave a hologram in the paint that is generally only noticeable under florescent lighting or direct sun light. Both problems can be permanently corrected with a good set of polishes and a buffer. If you would like I can help you select the right buffer and polishes to permanently correct the surface. I've helped many people get rid of these marks and restore the clear coat to like new condition.
