Question Wheel Cleaning Question

Hey Everyone,

I was washing a clients car today and I found many things wrong with it. This is the 1st time I got my hands on their MB S55. Some one, or some people, have not know how to clean a MB correctly. Since I'm getting into doing this for people, instead of me, myself & I, there are some things I have not come across working on in detail. No one has cleaned the wheels worth a flip and I did not have much luck. I called my friend at a MB dealership this afternoon and he advised me they clean the wheels with Eagle One wheel cleaning. I was kinda shocked to hear him mention that.

What I would like to know, from you, is what tire cleaning producks do you like best:

Meguires
Mothers
Black Magic
Eagle One or
Auto Magic

Here is a quick picture I took of the car this afternoon. This was an after wash picture. It was just a quick wash since I found several issues on the car and will have to start over from scratch in the next week or so.

Before:

After: (I know the smaller picture does not look good)

Again, any assistance is welcomed!!

You said 'wheel cleaning' in your thread title but 'tire' above. Just want to clarify that we are talking about cleaning wheels and not tires. To answer, I don't use specific 'wheel cleaning' products. I treat my wheels that same as I do my finish - very carefully and with non-harsh products. I use Meguires' NXT car wash on my wheels. I use microfiber cloths (different of course) for the wash and the dry. I've had great results with very dirty wheels (bugs, gravel, tar stuff, etc.)

I clean my wheels with the car wash I use for my car's body.

I periodically apply wax to the wheels as well.

+1, though I use a separate bucket and a tire brush.

Ditto, Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant is outstanding.

I just order some Poorboy’s World Spray and Rinse Wheel Cleaner today.

Thanks for each of your assistance.

btw - I'm sorry if I make errors on what I type. It kinda chomps when you have brain damage. Darn car fender benders.

What's a clients car? How come you have to wash the car. I have clients but don't wash their cars.

This vehicle is an '05 MB S55 AMG. I washed it to find out what is wrong with it. That is how I found issues with the wheels. Also, who ever they had washing the vehicle in the past just did not wash it worth a flip. Using my high pressure washer, dirt would never stop coming out.

I advised him the car needs to be clayed and a 2 stage buff & hand wax. The buff will be a Sealing Wax, then, a quick detail for it to really shine. I also will Lexol the interior and clean and protect the interior. Especially the dash from cracking. I use Auto Magic Magic Dressing™. There are just a few other things I add to the vehicle as well. I will be doing the same thing to his sons BMW 3 Series.

BTW - My client has a few too many vehicles. I finally talked him into putting his '89 Jaguar XLS Cabrio into the body shop to have the hole vehicle repainted. It has less than 15k miles on it. It has never been taken care of. It has door dings. Tires that have gone bad. Since it's an "English" Jag, the electrical stuff is not working well. You name it, I have him taking care of it. I'm also wanting him to do the same thing to his '91 BMW 850I. It runs fine BUT, it has not been taken care of as well. He had someone repaint the whole car and did a very poor job. Clear Coat is coming off. The BMW rims, well, faded and have to be re-done. Interior is falling down from the roof, and so on. lol He does have a total of 7+ vehicles. If you wish to see these three, I've added a link to my photobucket website.
