Hey guys. My 2004 Blue Z has paint swirls. Not that noticeable unless you are staring at the car within a foot or even closer. I think the person that had it prior may have taken it to some of those stupid car washes where they actually put those swirls in your paint. Or it could of been because someone used an automatic buffer and kept it in a spot to long. They are light and are on most parts of the car. I was wondering if you guys had similar problems? I did a good hand wax that helped a tiny bit. I also used some meguiar stuff for swirls but didnt have much success. You guys use anything else that worked?
Thanks

Sorry to hear about all the swirls in your paint, it's a pretty common problem even on well cared for vehicles. Waxes can only really hide the imperfections not remove them. To remove them you'll need to polish the surface. This can be done to an extent by hand but a buffer can help you get significantly better results. I generally recommend a combination of a medium and a light polish to help remove swirls and maximize the shine. My favorite combination is the Menzerna PO83 and PO106FA, but if you want to save some money try the Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Polish II. Both options will work really well. If you are interested we have two very safe and easy to use buffers (Porter Cable 7424XP and Flex XC 3401 VRG). These buffers can help you remove a lot more of the imperfections and restore a much deeper shine. They are pretty easy to use and I've helped numerous first time detailers get outstanding results. Let me know if you would like more information about any of these polishes or buffers. After you are done you can apply a wax or sealant to help protect the paint and enhance the shine.
