Before everyone jumps on the wagon and chastises me for getting "taken" by spending money on the dealer teflon coating, let me start...IM STUPID! Ok, now that it's been said, Here's my question: What if anything do I need to do to start Zaino on the car? Can I just proceed from the beginning or do I need to somehow remove the teflon treatment? Thanks in advance both for the info and not beating me up too bad over the teflon thing!
It has been my experience, and not that much of it, that a few washings and you can kiss your teflon coating good bye. I would just start the Zaino process from the beginning.
The whole teflon thing is a subject of controversy on the Corvette Forum. There are so many theories and comments, it is not worth getting into.

No controversy at all. Teflon has ABSOLUTELY NO VALUE in automobile paint protection. Even the inventor of the stuff (DuPont) confirms this.
I would say to simply do the Dawn, clay, wash, Zaino ritual just as you would with any new car.

Thanks for the replies! I guess I should say "Zaino to teflon"!
