Its just marketing, the have waxes for Volvo cars, NSX, BMW I think, heck they even have a wax they say that is just for SUV's of all things, like SUV's need some "special" kind of wax. It fools the wine and cheese crowd into thinking that they have bought a "special" wax for their baby or something like that.

I would love to have a newer NSX. I've always liked them.

I don't know if it's true anymore but this use to be common with waxes since the Japanese and American cars used to have a different kind of paint. I don't know if it's true anymore. I do know that I had a Lexus and it's paint was TOUGH compared to the Z which will scratch if you look at it worng.

Oh, there are differences in paint, but not to the point where you need X brand of wax for X brand of car, that is just going a bit too far. The wax or polish is only laying on top of the paint, its not becoming part of it....
