Zaino Z2, Z5 questions
I just got my 04 super black track and wow its awesome. so the 2nd day i put a coat of Z2 and then Z5 with gloss enhancer. Does it really improve the shine if you keep adding coats? If so, should i alternate Z2 and Z5 or just do one or the other? Will the Z5 eventually fill up all the swirl marks as i apply more and more coats? I see peoples sigs with things like 68 coats of zaino and i was wondering is this overkill or is there never enough coats of zaino? thx

With the Zaino application,
The process is after you wash and dry.
1. Z-6
2. Z-5 with ZFX
3. Buff
4. Z-6
5. Z-2/ZFX
6. buff
7. Z-6
8. The continue applying Z-2. You can put more Z-5 (gets rid of swirls, ect) if you want.
Also your second question, the Z-16
I like the Z-16 because it does not splash everywhere when you drive. It does not give you the extreme wet look though
Also, go to Zaino.com and they have some tips and tricks. Or do the infamous search tool here. GL and Happy Zainoing!

Once you get past a certain point, number of coats, the return on shine is negligible, but each coat does help increase durability and protection. Once you get it looking like you want, use Zaino as needed, for maintaining the finish after that.

I see a big difference on black right after doing the second coat. I would apply 2 to 4 coats of Z-5 right at first to see if you can fill in the paint swirls before going to Z-2. Of course use the Z-6 Gloss Enhancer right after buffing off a coat of Z-5 for added pop.
Are you using the Z-1 or the ZFX system?
No one needs 20, 30, or even 68 coats, many people enjoy polishing and waxing as a hobby....

I really like the Z-16 tire dressing because it's not greasy-looking and the tires look like brand new real rubber. It also lasts a lot longer than many other products I have used in the past.

The second coat of Z-2 or Z-5 is the money coat, I agree completely. I first experienced this back around 1998 when I first started using Zaino, I talked to Sal on the phone and he said to notice a big pop in the paint after the second coat as his products can layer, I say something to the effect of "no way" or I have never had a product that would layer, but Sal was right....

Hey, would you guys recommend getting the whole Zaino kit, the one for about $80-something? I'm a new roadster owner, and need something good to keep that gloss up!

Has anyone noticed swirls using 100% cotton Fieldcrest towels? Ive only washed my car a few times and have not seen any yet, granted it is a very light color. I use DFTs to apply and remove wax, but I use the Fieldcrests to wash, dry and apply Z-6.
