Default Best Glaze for Filling Swirls

Whats the best glaze that can be applied by hand to fill in light swirls.

I have Menzerna FTG but its doesn't do much. I'm looking for something with fillers that will stick when I put sealant and wax on top of it.

Any suggestions on a good one. I will be coating it with Menzerna FMJ and then either Natty Blue Wax or Dodo Juice wax

Thanks

I used 3M rubbing compound 3M machine polish followed by 3M hand glaze and the car looks amazing. So yea, 3M.

Get a dual action buffer and polish the paint. That is the only way to really get rid of the swirls.

^Definitely for a good polish, but I think glaze, seal and wax can be applied just as effectively by hand.

Just need the rotary to generate heat for polishing

The real key is to polish the surface as effectively as you can before hand. This will minimize the imperfections and help the glaze do a better job. The FTG and Chemical Guys Extreme EZ-Creme Glaze with Acrylic Shine II are two quality products. If you have any other questions please let me know.

^Just recieved it, can't wait to try it out. I'll post a review on your site when I'm finished. I know the results won't be as great as if I used a buffer, but I'm curious to see how it does.

You don't need a rotary, a dual action will do an outstanding job with virtually no likelihood of damaging the paint.

im a month or so away from opening a detail shop...did it for yeeeears on my own..if the swirls are from a compound and cutting pad...forget it..all you'll do is hide them temporarily with a glaze.. you'd need to go with a fine polishing pad and polish. then a gray?greh,grah,gray?...however its spelled.. waffle style foam pad (Auto Magic ones are F'n awesome) and glaze..LOW rpms.. no swirls

So I got around to using the Chemical Guys Acrilic Glaze II and it was outstanding.

Compared to Menzerna's finishing touch glaze I feel like the Chemical Guys Glaze filled in the swirls a little better and was 1000 X easier to apply and remove.

It also didn't seem to stain the trim like FTG did. I'm sold for now but I would love to try Poorboys Black Hole once Detailed Image starts to supply it

The hint is noted, it may be something we add in the not too distant future. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

go with blackfire wet diamond sealant. provides decent protection, fills in swirls and makes a metallic paint really *pop*
