I clayed my car and it was still in pretty good condition when I was done. I don't plan on using the clay for the paint again, but it would be nice if I could keep it for the bottom sills of the car that has gunk i can't get off. I also noticed the clay bar worked wonders for my clear bra edges! It would be nice to break out that used bar to just hit up the edges of the bra every now and then.

I took some seran wrap out and misted it with Z-7/water solution. I put my used bar in there and wrapped it up. Will the clay lose its sticky properties once it was exposed to all that air and lube? Especially being stored in that condition for a couple of months. Or will i just end up with play-doh when I take it out again?

 

You should be okay. I mist mine and wrap it in a Ziploc bag. You can use it several times. Just re-shape the claybar and you will fine.

I believe you can use it on your vehicle up to 3-5 times. No quotes here, just by me doing my car 3-5 on one clay bar. Depends on how dirty the clay bar gets before you toss it.

 

If you have the Z-18 Claybar, you store your clay in the plastic tub that it comes in. The Z-18 comes in 2 two ounce bars, I always use 1 ounce of clay at a time to always keep some fresh clay to use on the upper panels and save an old piece for the lower panels and the wheels.
