Effects of Zaino on CS
After reading the various Zaino posts I finally called Ira @ LAZaino.com and plunked down for the starter "kit". It arrived in a day, and this Saturday the weather here in SoCal couldn't have been better.
Even though I've only had my new 2004 ZR for about a month, I took Ira's advice and tested a large section of the clay just to see if it would pick up anything. It wasn't filthy, but it was definitely picking up some contaminants.
Here's the forumla I used:
Wash with Dawn
Z-18 clay while wet, using a spray bottle with water/Z-7
Wash with Z-7 and thoroughly dry
Apply a layer of Z-2/ZFX and buff out after about 30 minutes
Spray Z-6 and immediately dry
I threw on another coat, and that's when I could really tell the difference. I was worried that since I hadn't seen any CS Zaino pictures that I could get the same results with much cheaper product, seeing as how CS is reflective and shiny to begin with. Like everyone says, the Z-2/Z-6 combo provides that elusive glossy wet look:

Thanks to the Zaino nuts (you definitely know who you are) for turning me into a freaking disciple.
TWO coats and counting!

Went through the whole song and dance myself this weekend on my LA. This shot was taken after one coat of Z-5. I tried to take some pics after I got on a second coat of Z-2, but the weather wasnt cooperating.
