Newbie question about USING and BUYING Zaino
Hey guys, I have been reading old Zaino posts but still have a couple of questions (keep in mind I have never used Zaino before):
1. I am not very fond of using the claybar, so would I still be able to use the Z-2 and Z-5 without the clay and see good results? (Is using the claybar necessary, or is it just recommended?)
2. I am in New Mexico, does anyone know if there is a local (or regional) dealer to order from, or should I just order from the Zaino website. Will prices be any cheaper from a distributor? What are some of the popular distributors people on this site order from?
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

1. You have to get all the contaminents off your paint and make it baby-butt smooth. Z-6 (Zaino spray) and the claybar shall take care of this.
Ensure you wash before this process. And ensure you Z-6 and claybar together and mist constantly. DO NOT clay a dry surface, it has to be wet from the Z-6.
After the Clay process. re-wash.
Then apply Z-5, then Z-2 with ZFX.
Just buy the kit, and add an extra Z-6 to the kit and you will be fine.
Go to Zaino.com, the website can help under tips/tricks. I believe their are no vendors in NM, you have to order it online
Good Luck!
You do not have to use the clay bar. As you probably know the clay bar takes contaminates out of and off of the paints surface. The smoother the surface is to begin the better your Zaino results are going to be. Using the clay bar is recommended, but not an absolute.
Get a plastic baggie and put your hand in it like a glove. Run it across the surface of your car and see if it sticks. This is a good test to determine the condition of your paint and whether it needs to be clayed.

You don't use Z-6 with the claybar. It is either Dawn or Z-7. Z-6 is the detailing mist. It is NOT a good lube for your claying. Use the Z-7 for the best results IMO, but DO NOT use Z-6 with your clay.
You don't have to clay at all if you don't want to but I'm telling you, you will get a MUCH better result if you do.

preperation is EVERYTHING. the product can never be better than what you start with. If clayed a total of 4 cars now... its not so bad... just an extremely thourough washing, go out on a nice afternoon and do it and itll fly by.
