I was contacted by TUF SHINE yesterday and we are still working on sorting out what really happened. We have come to the conclusion that after 4-5 cleanings on my tires (even though the suds were white) they still had some previous tire shine left on them that could have over time penetrated the rubber.

I am being sent a new tire cleaner, clear coat kit and some of TUF SHINE'S detailer spray to try and do a review on as well.

I still have faith in this product since seeing photos on the net of others tires after months of use and I feel like Bob from TUF SHINE is all about results and great customer service! I should have all the stuff Thursday and depending on the weather Im giving this another go!

I'm going to use lacquer thinner on a rag to wipe the tires down then scrub with the more acidic tire cleaner they are sending me. They looked at my pics and said that in my clean tire pic the tire was still to shiny and should have had a flat grey appearance to it meaning the tire was stripped of previous tire coatings.

It's a lot of work but to me it's worth it.

I'd think twice about the lacquer thinner on the tire business unless you know for a fact that lacquer thinner doesn't harm tire rubber compound. As you said, whatever you put on your tires soaks in over time, which is why I am leery about putting dressings on my tires.

Shouldn't hurt the tire if rubbed on lightly with a rag...

Glad to hear Bob is helping you out so we can figure out why the results were so unique here. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to work with Bob and trying this process again. Hopefully we can figure it out. The results on on this G35 forum have been much better and what we are seeing from most detailers - http://g35driver.com/forums/care-det...ne-review.html. Hopefully with Bob's help we'll get the results others have been experiencing.
