CrystalGuard: Say Good-Bye to WAX TODAY!!
Today morning I finally got time to do the CGQ I bought last week. First, I started with CGW. It was quick 'cause I just washed last Sunday and have just driven once since. It felt kind different from other car wash. I just couldn't get any bubbles out of it. Usually when I wash the car, it's like a bubble bath for it. But it's cool since it was pretty clean to begin with. After washed off the soap, I start to spray on the CGQ and wipe with a micro-fiber cloth at the same time (car is still wet). It took me about 15mins to do the whole car. Sprayed with water again and than wiped dry. Total time spent 1 hour abd 30 minutes. To be honest, I am very lazy when it comes to wash cars. I waxed once before and promised myself I will not do it again. The most important reason I bought CGQ is that I just need to spray on a wet car and dry it, unlike wax that I have to buff the car like a million times. I'll say it met its promise. It was really easy.
While it was finished, I can't tell how it was because it was under the shade. But once I took it out and under the sun, WOW! It is just beautiful. It's not like bling bling shine like metal with lots of flare (or it's because the sun is not that bright today), it's more of a deep shine. It looks like a thick layer of class on the paint. It made the my leman looks deeper and totally smooth. It feels like leman has more class than it was before.
I have not had any experience with other highend sealant, like zaino or blackfire. Maybe they can also shine like this, but for a lazy man like me, CGQ is the one for me (I think).

I know why you thought this way. If you don't preparation work on your paint, CG layer doesn't touch that smooth because CG creates layer over those surface. The reason why wax feels good even on those paint is that it's oil, detergent, and wax based product to cover those small bumps on the paint, however, those product wear off very quickly and easily.
I appreciate if you could try some more application at next car wash. I think you can feel it much smoother.
Thank you.

CG decided to sell 2.75 oz bottle, too. Labels are being printed and they will add that to online shop very soon.
Thanks.
Thanks.
[i]Bottom line? If the price were lower, it would own the **** out of everything. Unfortunately for CG there are many cheaper synthetic "waxes" available (Blackfire) that have a high melting temperature (long life). So, for many price becomes the main issue. [/B]
Yeap. CG will make your car shine like "glass". That's the unique gloss of CG.
Please take a look at your car tomorrow morning again. It will look much better

Hey, MaxHax
If you don't mind, would you describe how does 3 coats look like compared to 1 coat?
And how does CG do its job with rain???
Thanks a lot.

I will let you know how everything turns out, and I am glad you are concerned about each customer opinion! As far as the Diablo goes, I see one on your avatar, and I know you also have a Tuscan, so I was figuring you probably have the wallet to bank a Diablo or two

Cheers,
richard
Do you have 6.75 oz bottle?? or 2.75 one??
6.75 one covers almost 10 coats. 2.75 does 4.
you need only 0.6-0.8 oz per application.
How many times did you do?
BTW, it's not a diablo. It's MURCIELAGO

1. It is like all other pruducts in it's catagory to me, Carnuba, Zaino et all in that the more layers of protection the better it looks.
My 3rd coat really brought out the *depth* of the color of my car. One coat made it shine but that 3rd coat that I let sit on, man!
I kept going because it was so easy!
That was when even my non car loving wife said, "damn what did you do to your car."
When she notices it really means something.
Example, new rims, new tires, lowered car modified screaming exhaust ; hasn't noticed and parks next to me in the garage every day.
But that third coat she was like wow I want some!
So I bought the big bottle.
As for rain, the first rain storm I didn't even need my wiper blades till freeway speeds the rain was just bouncing off and I was actually laughing out loud. Usually I would have been bummed but 30 minutes and rain is bouncing off, what is to be upset about?
I just now came home in the rain for my two days off and parked my car in the rain.
It looks brand new still after coming on the freeway from the South area all the way to the north area.
I am waiting for a break in the rain and I want more on anyway because this time I want to see it's effect on the rims and brake dust!
Edit add;
This is after the first week of rain, you can tell by looking ast the tires, the wet shine had already worn off. Look at the shine after 3 days of rain!
a pic is worth a 1000 words!

I use Rain-X anyhow, it does a bit better than the Crystal guard in that respect..
At any rate, I added another coat today and wow. Reflections were twice as clear as last week. I am adding another coat this Friday, When I will also be putting it on a Benz CL430 and Benz SL55 AMG
We'll see how that goes!!!

BTW CrystalGuard is not water-repellent. Water runs off as a sheet instead of beads. That way, with CrystalGuard, rain won't leave that many stains on the top of your car. Water repellent products tend to leave a lot of stains on the body after rain.
So I wouldn't say Rain-X is better than CrystalGuard.

So far, it took me a good 45 minutes to read this entire thread.
While I'm not doubting that CG does a very good job, most of the comments I see are just that....words. And the pictures provided in here are Z cars that are what--one year old? Come on people.
If you really want to convince others, provide a before and after picture of an OLD beater car. One that has been used a lot and shows it.
Hell, I could show you pictures of my 9 year old, fully-prepped and waxed NSX and pass it of as saying I coated it with CG and you wouldn't know the better of it. Why? Because the damn thing looked good already from the beginning just like everyone else's car in here!
Sorry, I'm not convinced. I for one am not willing to fork over $50 for a small bottle of this stuff.
Prove me wrong.

i actually agree in some means. i have CG on my car and it's turned out great. but i would also like to see some before and after pics let's say of a beater car like he stated. 350z's come shiny from the factory and the paint is still pretty new, so it wouldn't be hard to gloss it up. so like exoticz, let's see a pic of a car at least 10 year old, and a before and after pic as well, then we will know how good or bad CG really works. or at least CGQ for that matter.
